Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

This course is for healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies or for students seeking first-time or renewal credentialed PALS training.

Students will learn:
- Recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardio-pulmonary arrest
- The systematic approach to pediatric assessment
- Effective respiratory management
- Validate skills for 1- and 2-person CPR and AED skills for infant and child
- Defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion
- Intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration
- Effective resuscitation team dynamics

American Heart Association PALS Provider Course Completion Card valid for two years.

There are two different options for completing this class. Either complete everything in class OR complete an online portion through the American Heart Association’s website and then come in for a hands-on skills checks. Both options result in the same certification card.

PALS (Provider) – for first time students or for those whose certification cards have expired
Class Time: 12 hours over 2 consecutive days

PALS (Update) – for currently certified students
Class Time: 7 hours
Class Cost: $124, Book: $50
Class Size: Maximum 7 students

PALS (Skills) – for new or currently certified students
Class Time: 10+ hours for online portion, 1 hour in class
