1. What are the online classes?
These classes are split into 3 parts. Part 1 is online and you study and take the exams online prior to your scheduled class time. Part 2 is a hands-on skills check, where you practice the skills with an instructor guiding you. Part 3 is your final skills test given in class by the instructor.
2. My employer says I cannot take an online CPR class, will they accept this certification?
Yes, they will accept this certification. It is not really an online CPR class. You simply study and prepare online prior to your hands-on skills check that takes place in class. This cuts down on the amount of time that you actually need to spend in class. We issue the exact same AHA card for these classes as we do for the classroom-based version.
3. Do I have to purchase Part 1 from Above Bar CPR?
We do not sell this portion to the general public, so you will have to purchase it on your own through the American Heart Association’s website. If your company has a contact with us and this certification if part of your job description, then we will issue you the access code. Please contact the office for more information on this procedure.

4. Is this class only for recertification?
This class can be taken by a first time student or a recertifying student. The logic is that a first time student will spend a lot more time studying online to pass the exam than the recert student.
